Q. How do I order?
How to order medication from Canada instructions.
Q. How do I receive the necessary forms for ordering?
You can either download forms from RxNorth.com or you can request (phone toll free 1-888-773-2698) to have a list of current prices and forms sent out to you by Express Post.
Q. Are generics the same as brand-name medications?
Generic and Brand-Name products consist of the same chemical properties and are both approved by the government health authorities. They are however manufactured by different companies and may vary slightly in appearance.
Q. Is a prescription required?
Yes. The pharmacy requires a prescription for almost all medications. The only exception is for over the counter drugs and supplies. Just like your local pharmacy we require a valid prescription from your primary care physician licensed to practice in your area of residence. You may , fax, or mail the prescription to the pharmacy.
Q. Can you fill prescriptions from doctors not in Canada? Yes, once the Canadian doctor has reviewed and approved your prescription under his/her authority. This is done on our patients’ behalf at no additional charge. To guarantee the timely processing of your order, all prescriptions should be submitted in English.
Q. My prescription is for a different quantity than what you carry, can you fill my prescription or do I need a new one? Patients should not alter their prescription(s) in any way. Patients should not change the quantity that the doctor has allowed on the prescription(s). This will void the prescription(s) and prevent the pharmacy from filling the prescription(s). Once the prescription(s) has been sent into the pharmacy, the pharmacist will contact the doctor, if required, to allow our package sizes to be filled.
Q. Is there a limit on how much I can buy? Yes, you may purchase a personal use quantity as defined by pharmaceutical regulations, provided that you have a valid prescription for that supply of medication. If your physician writes a prescription for more than a single personal use quantity then the pharmacy can fill those refills as they come due. You may not purchase medications for resale or redistribution.
Q. Can I buy Valium, Tylenol #3 or similar medications from your pharmacy? The pharmacy legally cannot ship any narcotic or controlled substance out of Canada. The pharmacy also will not sell any habit forming medications.
Q. Are all medications available in Canada?
No. Our pharmacy does not have all medications that are available in other parts of the world. We do however have the majority of medications available in Canada.
Q. Are all drugs less expensive in Canada?
Most, but not all medications are less expensive in Canada.
Q. If I am already an existing customer do I need to send all of the forms with my new prescription?
The Pharmacy requires the Allergy, Patient Health Profile and Authorization Form to be updated annually to keep your records up-to-date. The Order Form should accompany every new prescription order.
Q. How do I place my refills for my medications?
Refills can either be taken over the phone by calling 1-888-773-2698 (option 3, option 2), by sending in a Fax (Toll free 1-866-773-2696), or using our online form. Please state the Rx number of the refill you are requesting along with your name, phone number, quantity required and method of payment.
Q. Can an order be cancelled?
An order can be cancelled if the order has not been shipped out of the pharmacy.
