Frequently asked questions about ordering canada drugs from RxNorth canadian pharmacy

Q. How do I order medication from RxNorth.com?

A. RxNorth.com is widely acknowledged as the first Canadian company to offer international direct mail medication. We created and developed our hassle-free ordering process around the philosophy of Keep It Simple. To that end, we offer you the choice of three convenient, straightforward ordering methods:

  • Call RxNorth toll-free at 1-888-700-1119
  • Toll-free fax to 1-866-773-2696 or mail your order to RxNorth.com
  • Online through our website

Regardless of the method you choose, RxNorth.com only dispenses orders accompanied by a valid prescription(s) from a licensed physician or practitioner. As such, we require an unaltered copy of your prescription, which you can mail, fax, email or upload to us. To assist with the timely processing of your order, we ask all prescriptions be submitted in English.

Q. Will RxNorth.com accept a prescription from my doctor who is licensed outside of Canada?

A. With the exception of over the counter medication and supplies, RxNorth.com only accepts orders accompanied by a prescription from a licensed physician or practitioner, which is verified and revalidated by one of our independent medical doctors in Canada.

Q. Do you have a catalogue you can send me?

A. RxNorth.com is able to use its considerable buying power to negotiate low costs on prescription medication. Medication prices may vary and we want to pass the savings on to you. For our most current pricing on your medication, check our Drug Search or call RxNorth.com toll-free at 1-888-700-1119 and one of our Customer Service Representatives will be pleased to assist you.

Q. What currency are your prices in?

A. In order to better serve the international community, all RxNorth.com prices are in U.S. currency.

Q. Are Canadian direct mail pharmacies legal?

A. Yes. Since 1999, RxNorth.com has shipped more than 1.5 million prescriptions to customers throughout North America without incident.

Q. May I return my prescription medication?

A. Please note that unless there has been an official product recall, it is illegal for a Canadian pharmacy to accept returns on prescription medication. If you need to cancel an order, we ask you notify us as soon as possible and one of our Customer Service Representatives will do their utmost to help you. We always strive to provide you with the most efficient service possible, which includes processing most orders the day they are received. Our quick order turnaround means we are often unable to cancel an order once it has been dispensed

Q. What is your policy on medication expiry dates?

In Canada, there are federal (National Association of Pharmacy Regulatory Authorities) and provincial (The Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association) regulations that guide these policies. RxNorth.com fully complies with these policies in all our dispensaries both in Canada and abroad.

We always dispense the best dated products available. Generally our products will have an expiry date of at least one to two years from when we dispense them. In fact, we remove medication from our shelves at least four months prior to the date they expire.

In addition to this, we always make sure products will not expire during the period the customer needs to use them.

In the rare event that a customer was to receive expired medication or medication near its expiry date, it would be replaced free of charge.

Q. Do you accept insurance?

A. Unfortunately we are unable to direct bill foreign insurance. However, RxNorth.com can provide you with a proper receipt for insurance purposes.

Q. What kind of drugs do you carry?

A. RxNorth.com carries over 1,800 affordable brand name and generic drugs. Aside from habit-forming medications and narcotics, RxNorth.com does not restrict the medication you are able to order. If you have a valid prescription from a licensed physician or practitioner, we can provide you with the medication you require.

Q. What is the difference between generic and brand name drugs?

A. Generic and brand name products consist of the same chemical properties and are both approved by the government health authorities. They are often made by the same company, but may vary in appearance. Read more...

Q. Will RxNorth.com ship overseas?

A. Currently, on all orders there is a $9.95 shipping and handling charge for shipping anywhere in North America or the Caribbean. If you wish to have your medications shipped outside these areas, RxNorth.com charges $19.95 for shipping and handling.

Q. What are RxNorth.com’s shipping times? Why can you not ship two day mail or overnight?

A. The quickest shipping method is currently being used to send out your order. On average, you can expect to receive your order within 10-14 business days from the time it has been received and processed. Shipments may be delayed in the event of seasonal weather disruptions, high mail volume around the holidays, and any unforeseen Customs responses. RxNorth.com is committed to ensuring your safety through our Five Star Quality Assurance Process. Each medication you order must be verified, checked and verified again before leaving our dispensary.
